Buyer’s Admin Assistant at The Handpicked Collection (News Corp)

A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen with a growing online Gift retailer for a switched on graduate or existing Buyer’s Administration Assistant based in our Head Office in the heart of London.  The business is currently going through a period of growth which is set to continue within the News UK portfolio.

The ideal candidate will have a business/fashion/design related degree and have a keen interest in following trends. You would have ideally have spent time in a retail Head Office or within a small expanding retail business, preferably within the Buying team.

Key Responsibilities

- Update and fully manage the critical path to ensure all key dates are met in order for the product to be on time for planned product selection, press editorial and launch date - highlighting risks to the Buyer and where appropriate propose action to resolve any issues

- Issue all new product forms to suppliers, following up with supplier to ensure that information provided is accurate and understood and sent back within the time frame given ready for uploading product information to the website by the ecommerce team

- Request samples from potential suppliers after pre-selection process and to ensure all press samples are received from suppliers in line with orders placed, promotional calendar and brand requirements

- Manage sample library effectively, ensuring the range is up-to-date at all times and available for meetings and presentations when required

- Fully support the buying team and complete all administration tasks set

- Attend meetings where appropriate.

- Carry out competitor analysis where required, developing an understanding of key market drivers and communicate to the product team key findings.

- Manage and build relationships with suppliers and maintain contact both on email and over the telephone in order to maintain full control of the critical path

We are looking for superb Customer Service Advisors to come and join our team!

The Handpicked Collection is an award winning online retail company based in Battersea, London. The company was recently acquired by News Corp and as part of a plan to develop retail/ecommerce platforms for publications internationally (commencing with the Times, Sunday Times and the Sun) we are now expanding our team.

As a Customer Service Advisor it will be your responsibility to continue to provide our exceptional customer service, exceeding and fundamentally enhancing our customers’ experience with us.

Key Responsibilities

- Answer and efficiently handle all incoming calls (sales and customer service)

- Respond and keep up to date with customer email queries.

- Promote and cross-sell our products and your knowledge of them!

- Monitor fulfilment of orders and delivery times.

- Process all returns and exchanges within 48 hours

- Efficiently manage customer queries and complaints

- You will also be liaising closely with our Marketing, Merchandising and Editorial teams and a variety of other business stakeholders
