We’re avidly reading The Twelve Caesars, written by one of our founding expert panel members Matthew Dennison. He explores the personal and private lives of this eminent group that spanned 100BC to AD96, ruling over Rome and its dominions with untold pomp and unquestioned loyalty. The FT describes the work as ‘gossipy and insightful, making for an enjoyable introduction to this power-hungry crowd’. We think it’s a fabulous romp which teaches,  rather than preaches,  one of the most fascinating times in history.

Matthew has also been busily writing for Majesty magazine’s Collector’s Edition, in-depth articles on the Queen’s collection of diamonds, and an exhibition at the National Maritime Museum. The diamonds in particular are making us swoon.
